"Great power coming with a cost."

A young bard was just doing his ordinary, everyday stroll in the middle of the woods. He stumbled upon an ancient, mystical lute that was believed to be able to control the weather, and whoever possesses this shall be able to control it to his liking. As he gained possession of the item, power-hungry monsters start to swarm and obtain the power. Will the bard be able to defend himself and defeat all the monsters?
